An intuitive discovery, born in Corsica
In 1993, Frédéric Esnault visited the Restonica valley in Corsica. The water of this crystalline river is renowned locally for its skin-repairing properties. Experiencing it for himself, he realised a simple and immediate fact: the water doesn’t behave like it does elsewhere. It becomes fresh, it becomes active, it offers unprecedented comfort.
This moment was the catalyst. Why does this water benefit the skin? Can its effects be reproduced from any source?
A founding intuition was born: water could become a hydrating active ingredient in its own right, without needing to be reformulated. It does not need to change its composition. Its structure is transformed, enabling it to treat the skin directly.
20 years of research and experimentation
For almost two decades, between Corsica, Morocco and multiple French laboratories, Frédéric Esnault set about deciphering the invisible mechanisms behind this sensation. He analysed, tested and reproduced.
As his discoveries progressed, a network of partners emerged. Sublio is backed by a community of private investors including scientists, doctors, engineers, as well as spa, wellness and biotechnology specialists.
They all share the same belief: the intuition is right and the results speak for themselves. Sublio deserves the necessary means to exist fully.

A patented invention inspired by nature
Sublio transforms water… without altering it.
The developed process is based on a unique idea: water does not need to be enriched or modified to become a pure hydrating active ingredient. In fact, water itself possesses extraordinary active potential, provided its harmful effects can be reversed…
Hyperionisation, now patented, works without adding or losing any material. Conventional physical & chemical parameters (pH, conductivity, redox potential, TDS) remain unchanged; only the zeta potential decreases, a sign of the appearance of fine colloidal particles. It’s this new arrangement (generation of clathrates) that means the water doesn’t just “perform better”: it completely changes its state, becoming temporarily bioactive and highly compatible with skin structure.

The first Sublio reactors are installed in locations with extremely high standards, such as La Ferme d’Augustin in Ramatuelle, or at the heart of the Les Sablons outdoor resort.
The results are immediate: the skin’s surface is smoother and softer, sensations of discomfort are soothed, and hydration is noticeable from the very first application.
